Xander (2-year-old golden retriever), Ladybug & Mitt (5-year-old mixed breeds)
Like most people, I consider my animals part of the family. That’s why it was so important for me to find a doggy daycare for Xander, Ladybug, and Mitt – and I knew that not just any daycare would do.
I realized I’d found the perfect place when, on the second visit, Xander was so excited he wiggled through the door. From the animal-friendly atmosphere to the wonderful indoor play area – where dogs hang out with friends even on stormy days – Bangor Pet Resort & Spa is a great place. All three dogs love it there! And Peter’s just as excited to see them. When it’s time to leave, he’ll offer extra treats and one last bear hug for the road.
It’s as if we’re all part of one big, happy family.

Belle (13-year-old yellow lab/husky mix) & Chocolate (1-year-old chihuahua)
It’s a common sight: Peter Degraff, the dog whisperer of Bangor – completely surrounded by four-legged friends.
He certainly has enchanted Belle and Chocolate, my two dogs. They’re allowed to board together in the same suite –complete with off-the-floor beds and tv. And they look forward to staying there and visiting with Peter.
One morning after a nighttime skunk episode, Peter used a special homemade solution to shampoo the two culprits. Then he shared the recipe with us. We can’t imagine dealing with anyone more giving, more flexible – or with a more genuine love of animals.

Fiddlehead (8-month-old tiger kitten)
They love her… that’s why it’s so easy to leave Fiddlehead at Bangor Pet Resort & Spa when I have to be away. And she’s always happy and loving when she comes home. But it’s more than that. The staff at BPRS is friendly and competent; the place is clean and cheerful; and the prices are reasonable.
And, since my little one is just a kitten, I often turn to owner Peter Degraff for tips about cat care. He always steers me in the right direction.
